Simulate your own earthquake (and discover what, how, where, risk and safety)

Websismo is a website developed by the CSIC under the National Program for Promotion of scientific culture and technology.

It will have access to complete information on what is an earthquake, how they occur, why, the effects they cause, how to mitigate its effects and how to prevent them.

You can even simulate your own earthquake and see the effects it has on a virtual city.

In a simple visual platform from the main screen you can access all the content and explanations, explained in an entertaining way and with clear illustrations and an informative text clearly.

displayed in the virtual city played some buildings and common buildings in our cities and surrounding environments. Hovering over them can access information about data, effects and prevention and safety instructions.

An interesting website with all the information at a click.

Do not miss the links section where you'll find interesting page, such as the National Geological Institute : if you're curious, there you see the recent earthquakes that have occurred both nationally and world, and satellite imagery. -------------------------
